TV CV?
In 1984 after almost 10 years of running his very popular and award-winning "Tom Jennings and The
Nashville Session Band" Tom decided to go solo for a year to concentrate on writing songs. Having freed up a
lot of his time, now that he wasnt running a big band day-to-day, he was offered an audition for a tv show
(he had a crush on his drama teacher at school (London Oratory - Chelsea) and so he worked hard for her and
got quite good!). He didnt get the part but this audition led to him getting a theatrical agent in the West
End. Over the next few years he appeared in many tv shows as well as training and corporate videos. Some of
these are listed below. He even got down to the last two for a part in Rambo 3 with Sylvester Stallone (for
his sins!) however the other guy got the part!

In 1987 Tom was dividing his time between auditions, modelling and acting but he missed playing his music full-time
and so he returned to the live circuit with a renewed enthusiasm. As you can see he didnt quite give up the acting
and modelling because in 1989 he appeared in the corporate video that raised the funding for the Eurotunnel and
couldnt resist playing cops and robbers for the Post Office. 1992 and he was off to film in France again (in 1989
he had been in France filming for Eurotunnel) to film Moon and Son for the BBC. That same year he worked on Michael
Winners True Crimes.
Just recently Tom was talking to his old theatrical agent in Charing Cross Road and she asked him, "Are you coming
back to us?" Who knows what the future holds. Never say never...
